Hi, I’m Theresa!

I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist with a passion for mind body medicine. I’ve been promoting balanced eating for over 40 years, and I find real joy in helping others on their journey. I love helping clients and colleagues incorporate mindful eating and mind-body medicine skills in personal and professional lives for living full lives and enjoying food to the fullest. I was recently nominated and selected to be one of the 2023 Today’s Dietitian’s TD10: ten dietitians in the country that are making a difference in the nutrition profession.

Growing up, I loved food SO much that I ate until I was stuffed after most meals. I thought that was how I was supposed to feel. But I was wrong! This led me to become an RDN specializing in mindful eating and to becoming certified in mind-body medicine.

I have had many phases in my career, including as a college faculty member, a high-risk nutrition counselor, and even a stretching program instructor.

Remindful Eating has emerged as a common theme throughout my life. I believe we all need reminders that mindful eating and living really matter - not only for adding years to your life, but most importantly for adding life to your years.

I love sharing tips to make life easier for everyone. Come with me on this journey, and I’ll help you live a full, fun, and delicious life.

What Program Participants and Event Organizers Are Saying

“Participating the the Mind Body Skills group led by Theresa was inspiring, relaxing, and stress relieving!

As a busy working mom and RDN who sees clients, I often don’t find the time for myself.  Being a part of the weekly group program gave me time to focus on myself plus I learned invaluable tools and resources to practice mindfulness, letting go, and diving deeper into my journey for improved health and mental well being. Theresa creates a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where you feel free to share with others.

If you are an RDN who feels stress and overwhelm, this group can help you fill your cup, give you tools to use for yourself or clients to relax, and be your weekly connection to others going through similar challenges or stressors.  I highly recommend the mind body skills group!“

Becky Wojcik, MA, RDN, LDN, RYT, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist & Registered Yoga Teacher

After a long but productive two days of presentations for The Maryland Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (MAND) Virtual Annual Meeting 2020, Theresa was a welcomed and refreshing face for the closing speaker! From the beginning of her "Mindful Eating and Beyond" presentation, Theresa brought the energy. Not only was she knowledgeable, but relatable, it was like having a comforting friend nearby providing useful advice and information. Theresa exudes confidence in her speaking skills while maintaining a calm demeanor to portray the importance of being mindful. Her presentation was interactive, which was incredibly important as she was presenting via a web platform so was unable to feed off the in-person energy of the audience. For most seasoned presenters, this can be quite difficult, but Theresa didn't seem to miss a beat. Theresa makes a point to share relevant and digestible research to further explain the benefits of mind-body medicine, keeping her audience abreast of the latest findings in the field. Theresa shared practical techniques that were easy to remember and apply, both personally and professionally with clients. Theresa's presentation received the highest marks and most positive feedback from our audience of 300 Registered Dietitians and nutrition professionals.

It was a pleasure to work with Theresa before, during and after MAND's meeting and we look forward to having her back to speak at future events. Thank you, Theresa!”

“I continue down the road towards a healthier me, thanks to your vast knowledge sharing, and wonderful book!

Eating healthy has become my new norm.  I no longer crave junk food, yet I am able to enjoy an occasional sweet treat, at social events, without a single guilty thought.

I unconsciously fill my plates, at least, half full of veggies & fruits these days. Healthy foods never tasted so good! I used to be an, "All or nothing gal," … now I am mindful, yet reasonable. I like the new me a lot better!

Thank you for helping me find my way to the much healthier person I am today. Thank you for teaching and helping me get on the right track... I had no idea how EASY it would be!

I lost 20 pounds over the last year. More importantly, my morning blood sugars have improved from 140 to 94 - 110. I feel SO much better now that my blood sugar is more stable. Thank you, Theresa!

“Theresa was the closing speaker at our 2020 annual meeting.  She received extremely high marks in our post meeting survey and many attendees commented that she was the highlight of the day!

Her positive yet soothing presentation style kept the audience engaged and the moderated breathing exercise she facilitated was just what we needed at the end of a long day. In addition to being a fantastic speaker, Theresa was highly professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with.

I would highly recommend Theresa to anyone looking for an top notch conference speaker!”
